Safety Protocol/Covid-19
As our local community and the world at large grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to assure you that your safety matters to us. We continue to provide excellent, patient-centric dental care to residents of Fanwood, NJ, and encourage anyone needing dental treatment to get in touch with us today.
While we have always prioritized safety at our dental practice, we have put in place several additional measures and guidelines to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus and counter community infections.
Here are some of the ways that we’re empowering ourselves and our patients to fight COVID-19:
Staggered Appointments
We’re staggering appointments to encourage social distancing in our dental practice as well as to give ourselves ample time to sanitize in between appointments. Thanks to our staggered schedule, the risk of being in close contact with other patients is essentially eliminated.
We encourage patients to come alone during their appointments. If absolutely necessary, you can bring along one companion.
Strict Adherence to Dental Protocols
In particular, we’ve adopted the use of high-speed evacuation for dental procedures that produce aerosols. The adoption of rapid evacuation prevents splatter from lingering in the air, which significantly minimizes the risk of the spread of any pathogens that may be contained in the splatter.
Medical Grade HEPA Filters
We have invested in high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters to capture any and all pollutants and pathogens that often linger in shared spaces. Our medical-grade air purifiers guarantee that you’ll come into an area that is clean and pathogen-free.
Besides keeping the air fresh and clean throughout, we’re also cleaning and disinfecting the office after every appointment.
Pre-Appointment Screening
When you arrive for your appointments, we’ll take your temperature first before admitting you to our premises. We’ll also check for signs that may be indicative of viral infection. These include dry coughs, fatigue, headaches, etc. Our team will also ask if you’ve traveled into any infection hotspots in the recent past. We encourage our patients to be honest when responding to these questions, for your well-being and that of others.
We want to continue to serve you through this pandemic. Between our efforts and your cooperation, we know that we can get to the other side of this pandemic together, and with healthy, beautiful smiles.
